Our Story

Creating a climate positive world

Established in 2009 by founders Vivek Dugar and Satish Duvvuru, WeAct began as a vehicle to deliver climate and sustainable development outcomes for rural communities in India. Spurred by the success of this first project, we've built a portfolio of world-class carbon projects and 15 years on, WeAct is now a global carbon project development and trading house operating in seven countries around the world.

WeAct is registered as an Australian company.
2014 | TASMA II commences
Our first carbon project begins in Tamil Nadu, India.
2015 | WeTrade launches
Our global carbon trading desk is established.
2019 | Lucky Number 7
We launch operations in our seventh country, Fiji.
